So far, this is the tallest cake I've ever made. The bottom part consists of two and a half carrot cake, which was 5 layers, each layer filled with cream cheese frosting. The top part was made of one chocolate cake, halved and stacked. The total height of this cake was 12 inches.
This was a design given by Melissa who had ordered this cake for Jen's birthday. There were a lot of "sweat" during the pick up because the cake was threatening to topple over haha... of course it didn't and I'm sure it arrived at the celebration still standing tall.
